Overview
In addition to my personal research projects, I have also gained experience as a student propulsion engineer on the Space Enterprise at Berkeley team, where I contributed to the Eureka 3 rocket, a bipropellant vehicle targeting the Kármán line.
What I Built / Did
- I worked on several propulsion subsystems, engineering the quick-disconnect fill system to streamline propellant filling,
- Optimized bulkhead geometry to improve structural performance under pressurization, and performed injector CFD simulations for IPA propellant, collaborating with the simulations team to validate results.
- These systems directly contribute to the success of Heavybulb, our regeneratively cooled Inconel-718 design that achieved 11 kN thrust in testing.
